The Kiwanis Club of Waynesboro is proud to announce the successful completion of its fundraising campaign to build the ADA-accessible Kiwanis Nature Playground, a signature project marking the club’s 100th anniversary. The campaign reached its goal of $168,000, ensuring that the new inclusive playground will soon become a reality for children and families throughout the community.
Major donors to the project include The Hershey Company, McKee Foods, the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, and Westhills LTD Realtors, along with numerous local businesses, organizations, and individual community members who contributed time, funds, and resources to make the playground possible.
“This playground represents what Kiwanis is all about — community, inclusion, and creating opportunities for every child,” said Samantha Bosserman, Kiwanis Club of Waynesboro member. “Reaching our fundraising goal shows just how much our community believes in giving all children the chance to play and explore together.”
When completed, the playground will feature inclusive play equipment, nature-themed pieces, and sensory-friendly design elements that encourage exploration and connection with nature for children of all abilities. The playground will be located in the Loth Springs Area along the Waynesboro Greenway.
The Kiwanis Club of Waynesboro has been serving the community since 1925 through programs and partnerships that support children, families, and education. The ADA-accessible Nature Playground will stand as a lasting testament to the club’s century-long commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive Waynesboro.
